So I gave up sugar and lost some weight. But why? Well, obviously I was overweight. Really overweight. Its a family trait, actually. Of myself, my mother and my aunt, someone is always dieting or planning a diet or giving up on a diet. And the sugar things goes along with the whole "diets don't work" idea. And now I agree. By giving up sugar, I made a full lifestyle change. I took a major component and just deleted it. I am not saying its easy - it isn't. I like chocolate and cake and milkshakes like
everyone else, but it was time to be drastic. I am looking at Diabetes from my dad's side and hypertension from my mom's side. Lucky me. Hopefully, by making this change now, in my early 30's, I will at least be setting myself up to have control over both of those diseases. I would love to say I won't be inflicted by them, but the history is pretty strong. but I know I have made a good choice and the sacrifices are well worth it.
